ADHD

This section is edited by Alexandra Philipsen, MD.

"In the last decade, there has been a marked increase in studies supporting the association of ADHD and personality disorders, particularly BPD. Considerable overlap in diagnostic criteria and shared psychopathologic symptoms has stimulated research activities in this field. However, the question of whether ADHD and personality disorders randomly co-occur as comorbidities, have similar origins or share common pathological mechanisms remains unresolved. We are therefore delighted to create a section on ADHD and Personality Disorders to promote research into underlying mechanisms, detection and treatment of these disorders."
